Honeymoon in Negril vs. Ocho Rios?

My fiance and I want to go on our honeymoon to Jamaica, but we don't know where to go. I hear Negril has beautiful beaches and is a great place for a honeymoon, but I also hear Ocho Rios is great, plus its close to some of the things I want to do like Dunns River waterfall and swimming with dolphins and horseback ride and swim and some other things. But I also hear the Ocho Rios is far from the airport and is more of a party place.

I just want a nice resort with beautiful beaches and close to the fun things that I would like to do. Where should I go?

Dunns River falls is a HUGE people convoy up the falls. You take great water shoes with you if that is where you want to go so you do not get ripped off as water shoes are required.



But, I digress. You are on your honeymoon. You have three choices. One, hang out at the cpl's resort of your choice, sleep, eat, drink and, well, do the deed...



Spend money to do the above, then yes, spend lots of extra money to leave the resort everyday. Pay for drinks you have already paid for at the resort and see a bit more of the island. Not a bad thing, we are taking ONE day this year to also get out and about so I get it.



Three go to a resort where you do not want to leave it for a week. These are harder to find. Well, there is only one of them and it is where we have been going now for 12 trips. This year is the first time we are getting out of the resort other then a trip with some friends to eat at a jerk shack.

Hedonism II is an adult only, leave clothing in your room much of the time, party till the sun comes up if that is what you want to do kinda place.



So, Negril gets my vote, forget Dunns River Falls, go to YS falls instead. We are booking with Juju tours if that helps out of Negril. Check the reviews on Tripadvisor for more info.
