I am going on a Carnival Cruise. Anyone have any tips or experinces they would to share..?

Okay here's a tip. You will be asked for money constantly for things you don't even suspect after you embark on the ship. Drink the drinks in your stateroom, and you'll pay $4 each. Buy any alcoholic mixed drink and pay $7. You'll think those nifty origami towel folds and neat stateroom are wonderful additions to the experience--that is, until you are paying $82 at the end of a week (if you are on the 7-day Caribbean, anyway). Internet access: $1/minute at least. That should give you a taste. That being said, definitely shell out the bucks for some onshore excursions. They are usually well worth it, considering you don't go cruising every day. I guess people apply that philosophy to all the true rip-offs you will see, so it doesn't seem so bad. With drinks--and I had quite a few of them--I paid $1400 for a $650 cruise. Maybe you'll win at gambling and your cruise will be free. Enjoy!
