US Embassy, family, and any other persons you may need to contact in the case of an emergency (credit card companies for out of the country). Aside from that, you should be fine, or ask the hotel staff for assistance if anything.

Well, the emergency services will all help you with these problems. Not many people know that you can ask for the coast guard with the emergency services. The Numbers are USA- 911 (obviously) My U.K- 999 Most of Europe- 112 If you're travelling to a country, you should either pick the number up quickly or find it out as soon as you can. Good to prepare though!
