Has anyone been to Sunset Jamaica Grande?

What did you like/ dislike about the place?

~Anything about it, bc i will be spending Aug. there for a week.

Honestly haven't been there for about 5 years after what was supposed to be a major renovation(it was pretty much the same -just dirtier) .I used to go when it was Renaissance jamaica Grande it was nice then .I went once when it was purchased by the sunset group I also went to the sunset in Montego Bay.They both were horrible ,older and really run down resorts The cleanliness (or lack there of) left a lot to be desired ,terrible food- really poor quality products,untrained staff and just a tiny bit of beach -probably the worst in Jamaica .Your view of Ocho Rios will be blocked everyday by the number of Cruise ship (its right next to the port)But on the good side no vacation in Jamaica is bad .I do encourage you to get off the resort and see some of the beauty Ja has to offer

I've been there 3 times since the renovation. First time was in August 2005. This is when they allegedly was done with renovations but that was far from true. I was doing a vow renewal and they did everything within there power to accommodate us with all the construction going on. It was a pleasant experience and we enjoyed ourselves regardless.



The second time was in September 2006 and third visit was May 2008... construction still going on but overall still enjoyed ourselves.



And most importantly... you're right in the heart of the town. You can walk out go to the shops and clubs... naturally take someone with you and you'll feel comfortable. And the cruise ship port is right there also so tons of tourist are coming and going.

It's absolutely beautiful!

You will thoroughly enjoy it if you like sun, sand and the Caribbean!



Shows the cultural side of Jamaica with exquisite cuisine and beautiful atmosphere...



The beach is long and luxurious and the evening entertainment is really nice :D



The staff are amazing and can really knock up some awesome cocktails ;)



Nightlife at the hotel is not too bad, with different options of restaurants and bars to go to in the evening...



The pool is gorgeous with many attractive men playing volleyball all day :D



There's a jacuzzi area for adults only for a bit of a relaxing, romantic time for the lovers...

It is an all inclusive spot in Ocho Rios... Lots to do for a week you will enjoy the beach and the holiday fesitivities.
