Montego Bay, Jamaica - Holiday Inn Sunspree?

Question

Has anyone else been to this resort, the Holiday Inn Sunspree in Montego Bay, Jamaica.. ?? I am going there over the holidays and would like some first hand experience advice or opinions!

I stayed there for 2 weeks in June. It's not fancy but most of the food is good, the drinks are awesome (they are definitely not watered down) & the entertainment is great! A lot of families stay there so expect a lot of children, if you mind them they do have an adults only beach & an adult pool with a swim up bar. Overall it's a good hotel, I liked it a lot. :)

Go to tripadvisor.com website, you can check reviews of the hotel. As I recall last year when I was going, it had decent reviews though I ended up staying at the Grand Palladium, which is a very large and very nice all inclusive, though removed from Montego Bay a ways. I always use tripadvisor when I go anywhere, because I've been burned on some hotels that looked great on the internet -- and awful in person.

You can see a variety of fish and a few urchins. But if you want really good stuff you need to go on a snorkeling tour. They will take you out in a boat to pristine reefs.

It's just another 'cookie cutter' resort with cheap frozen foods and watered down cheap booze.. just like all the other cheap cookie cutter resorts on Jamaica.. so what's to know?

It is a nice family place. No complaints.
