I suggest Beaches Negril Resort n Spa. Lots of family fun and relaxation. You can go to Rick's Cafe and watch the sun set over the horizon (everyone counts it down like its new year's eve) lol...but even at the hotel, once you are on the beach (sigh....beautiful beach) in negril you have an amazing view of the sunset like its going right into the water. There is also a water park called Kool Runnings in Negril. Negril is actually my fav part of the island. ( i've lived in kingston all my life). thats my first choice for you and your family.

You can also check out ocho rios. not as beautiful as negril to me..but its alot more exciting. you can climb dunn's river falls go ziplining through the trees, swim with dolphins...all of that exciting stuff. thats definitely my second choice. It all depends on what you are looking for in your vacay.
Montego Bay is just ok to me...

I have yet to find a resort area that is not great so far there.
I can tell you that when we have been on the bus going to and from Runnaway Bay area the kids getting on the bus at what is now Breezes Trelamny just east of Falmouth are very happy when they get on the bus to go home with the stay.. some very sad to be leaving the resort they had so much fun and all very tired from all the fun.

The best area in Jaimaca (we have been to several places) is Negril. The beaches are beautiful. I always stay at the RIU chains. There is plenty to do for the whole family. And the resorts are usually really nice, with a lot of amenities. Go to a travel agent and they will show you brochures about the resort.
